Chicken Stir Fry
A delicious and quick-cooking meal made with chicken and a variety of vegetables, flavored with soy sauce, rice vinegar, and hoisin sauce.

Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken breast, bite-sized pieces
- 2 tbsp cooking oil (vegetable or canola)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced,1 small onion, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 cup carrots, thinly sliced
- 1 cup zucchini, sliced into half-moons
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce (optional)
- 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (slurry)
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil (for finishing)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Marinate Chicken (Optional): If desired, marinate chicken in the marinade ingredients for 30 minutes or overnight.
- Thaw and Prep Chicken: Thaw chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces, and season with salt and pepper if not marinating.
- Heat Wok: Preheat wok or large skillet over high heat. Add cooking oil.
- Cook Aromatics: Add garlic and onions. Stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Cook Chicken: Add chicken to wok. Stir-fry until golden and cooked through (4–6 minutes). Remove chicken and set aside.
- Cook Vegetables: Add broccoli, carrots, and zucchini to wok. Stir-fry for 3–5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Combine Chicken and Vegetables: Return chicken to wok.
- Add Sauces: Stir in soy sauce, rice vinegar, and hoisin sauce. Mix well.
- Thicken Sauce: Add cornstarch slurry to the wok. Stir-fry until sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
- Finish with Sesame Oil: Turn off heat and drizzle toasted sesame oil over stir fry.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve over rice or noodles.
Notes
Optional: Marinate chicken for added flavor. Use a wok or large skillet for best results.
