Carne Asada Burritos
Calorie friendly and tasty carne asada burritos.
Ingredients
- 1lb carne asada
- 1 cup pico de gallo
- 1 cup reduced-fat shredded cheese
- 1 can fat-free refried beans
- 8 whole wheat tortillas
Instructions
- Grill the carne asada to your desired doneness, then let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it thinly against the grain.
- Heat the whole wheat tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until they are warm and pliable.
- Spread a tablespoon of refried beans on each tortilla. Add a portion of the carne asada, a sprinkle of cheese, and a tablespoon of pico de gallo. Add any additional toppings if desired.
- Fold the sides of the tortilla in, then roll from the bottom up to enclose the filling.
- Serve immediately, or let the burritos cool before wrapping them individually in foil and freezing for future meals.
Notes
To reheat, remove the foil, wrap in a paper towel, and microwave until heated through.
